What are the best headphones for gym and running?

As a customer service representative who frequently receives this question, I suggest focusing on how they fit, how they handle sweat, and if you can still hear what's happening around you. Whether you're mid sprint or pumping iron, the last thing you want to worry about are your headphones. You just need them to work!

As I'm sure you know, nothing is more annoying than an earbud slipping out halfway through a set. Not only does it break your rhythm when you have to stop to put it back in, but it could easily fall under a machine or get damaged. Our RunPhones® headphones were intentionally designed to stay secure during high-intensity movements such as sprinting or doing burpees.

Sweat is also an important consideration when selecting headphones for running or the gym. When you're busy pushing it to the max, you shouldn't have to worry about moisture ruining your gear. I spoke with one customer whose standard headphones gave out on him after one particularly heavy session. Because of that, we use a moisture-wicking headband for our RunPhones® headphones.

If you run outside, staying aware of your surroundings is paramount for safety. While many headphones and earbuds are noise cancelling, our RunPhones® headphones are noise masking. This ambient awareness allows you to hear the sounds of traffic or other runners so you can stay safe while at the same time comfortably listening to your workout playlist. We think this is much better than constantly taking out an earbud to hear your surroundings, or, even worse, only using one earbud while running.

As I tell customers inquiring about headphones for running or the gym, the best pair is really the one you forget you're even wearing. By using RunPhones® headphones, you can focus entirely on your gains.
